Headline

The Government Authorised Exchange Schemes appendix has been reformatted from a simple list into a formal table structure, with no substantive changes to the schemes themselves.

Changes in detail

  1. Entire document structure — The list of authorised exchange schemes has been converted from a simple text format into a formal table structure with pipe characters (|) delineating columns for Name of scheme, Scheme summary, Sponsor, Type of scheme and maximum period, and Area of UK covered.

Practical implications

This is purely a formatting change with no impact on practice. All 32 Government Authorised Exchange schemes remain unchanged in terms of their eligibility criteria, sponsors, maximum durations, and geographic coverage. Practitioners can continue to advise clients on these schemes exactly as before, and pending applications under any of these schemes are unaffected.

Administrative changes

The entire document has been reformatted from a simple list structure into a table format using pipe (|) characters to create clear column divisions. This improves readability but involves no substantive policy changes whatsoever.
