Home Office updated formatting of the ETA National List by converting all country names from plain text to bullet points, with no changes to which nationalities require ETAs or implementation dates.
Changes in detail
- Throughout the document — All country and territory names changed from plain text format to bullet-pointed list format. 84 country/territory entries were reformatted by adding a "- " prefix to create consistent bullet points across all three implementation date categories (15 November 2023, 8 January 2025, and 2 April 2025).
Practical implications
No action required by practitioners. The substantive content remains identical - the same nationalities are subject to ETA requirements on the same dates. All existing advice and pending applications are unaffected as this is purely a formatting change to improve document readability.
Administrative changes
The entire document was reformatted to use consistent bullet point styling for the country lists. One blank line was also removed at the beginning of the document. These changes improve visual presentation but do not alter the legal requirements.
